Promotion Policy
The qualifying marks in each subject is 40% for all classes.
For XI:
A candidate getting less than the stipulated 33% in one of the five subjects shall be given
RETEST. If there are two or more subjects with less than 33% marks, the candidate will be
denied promotion.
For VIII to X:
A candidate getting less than the stipulated 33% in one or two subjects shall be given
RETEST. If there are three or more subjects with less than 33% marks, the candidate will be
denied promotion.
For VI and VII:
There is no detention.
RULES OF PROMOTION
- ELIGIBILITY : Attendance should not be less then 75%
- PASS CRITERIA : 40 Percent in each subject and 45
Percent in aggregate.
- IMPROVEMENT TEST : : Will be given in one subject only after obtaining 25% marks in the
- MEDICAL : No medical certificate will be entertained in any
test exceptin genuine cases which are detailed below and
brought to the notice in time. Assessment in the following
cases will be determined on the basis of three UTs and one
Terminal exam. :
- a) Prolonged illness – intimated in advance.
- b) Loss of father/mother or some other incident of serious
nature.
- No Weightage will be give due to late admission. However,
candidate admitted on migration after having passed the 1st
terminal exam, the attendance and performance of the
school last attended will be taken into consideration.
- The Qustion Paper will carry the following criteria :
- Half Term : (April-Sept.) Prescribed Half Term
Syllabus.
- Final Term : The paper shall be on the Board
Pattern and unit wise weightage will also be on
Board Norms.
Issuance of Progress cards :
- Report card reflects each child’s performance in scholastic
area & non-scholastic areas. It records the full year
achievement i.e. formative test, summer test, assignments,
attendance, participation in sports, cultural and other
activities, administrative experiences etc. Teacher remarks
are very important for the growth of the child. Class teacher,
principal and parents duly sign it after each term.
- Parents only sign the report cards. They are not allowed to
put any remark on the progress card. They can put the
remarks in the student diary (if any). If parents want to make
any remark they can address to the Class teacher or HOD
